Kanye West has been receiving a lot of hate lately, due to his support of Donald Trump and outrageous statements in the media. The Chicago native decided to do something positive for a family from his hometown after a nine year old boy and unborn child lost their father to a police shooting. Armed securtiy guard, Jemel Roberson was breaking up an altercation between two unruly patrons at a bar, he secured when police arrived on the scene. Apparently, Chicago police mistaked Roberson for one of the unruly patron rather than a security guard diffusing the situation and opened fired. In an interview with the local news, a witness stated that bystanders screamed ‘Security!’ He was a security guard…And they still did their job, and saw a black man with a gun, and basically killed him.” After the shooting, the family created a Go Fund Me asking for atleats $10,000. Kanye West donated $150,000 shortly after. This is a very unfortunated situation and my heart goes out to the family effected.
