Atlantic Records Accused Of Using Wrong Labels To Avoid Payments

For many years, artists and producers everywhere have complained about the lack of payment from record labels. This has led to many artists deciding to take the independent route and also the suggestion of music producer unions to be formed. Atlantic records is now under investigation and scrutiny after allegations were released that they were a culprit of these unfair accusations. One of the accusers include Eric "E. Dan" Dan, long time collaborator for Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. He claims that Atlantic did not label bodies of work "album" in order to avoid paying creators maximum fees. The J.U.S.T.I.C.E League's twitter account backed up E. Dan's accusations. The tweet read, "Been said this, but all labels do it [with] black music. It's all about the bottom line. What angers me is the black executives that let it happen." This looks like it could possibly be a really big lawsuit for Atlantic Records.
